The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce is committed to the health of our members, staff, and guests. We are also committed to reducing the spread of the disease and to safeguarding the capacity of our region’s healthcare system.
Due to the current spike in positive tests and hospitalizations due to Covid-19, we are reinstituting health protocols for in-person events and meetings hosted by the Chamber. By choosing to attend a Chamber event or meeting, you agree to follow these protocols:
1) Assumption of Risk
By attending a Chamber event or meeting in-person, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to Covid-19. Covid-19 is a highly contagious disease that can lead to severe illness or death. The risk of severe illness or death is higher for unvaccinated persons.
2) Face Covering Required
Face coverings are required while indoors for all persons attending a Chamber event or meeting. Face coverings must be worn properly (covering your mouth and nose) at all times unless actively eating or drinking. The mask requirement applies regardless of Covid-19 vaccination status.
3) Personal Health Assessment
The Chamber asks that you do not attend any events or meetings in-person if any of the following conditions apply:
- You have tested positive for Covid-19 within the past 14 days.
- You have a known exposure to a Covid-19 positive individual within the past 7 days.
- You are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, especially cough and fever.
4) Maintain Distance
While attending a Chamber event, social distancing is required. We will cap attendance at each event based on venue size and will opt for outdoor venues whenever possible. We ask attendees to keep a minimum of six feet between you and other attendees and that you refrain from handshakes, hugs, or other physical touches.
The Chamber leadership team will reassess our events and meetings policy every 30 days based on the prevailing infection rates and hospitalization status in Beaufort County.
