The Beaufort Digital Corridor (BDC) is hosting middle school age students in week-long coding camps this summer. The program is designed to inspire young minds about opportunities in the technology field and to give practical coding experience.  The BDC established a scholarship fund to make sure all interested young people in our community have access to these and future technology exploration opportunities.

Donations provides access to technology education and resources for the tech entrepreneur community, while offsetting the cost of program fees, providing valuable programs to those who need it most. In efforts to support education in the region, especially training to support a diversified economy with an emphasis on technical skills, the Chamber sees programs like this as an important effort in the community.

The BDC has a $5,000 fundraising goal for this summer’s camp scholarships. Thanks to stronger than budgeted membership growth this year, the Chamber was able to contribute the first $1,000 to this new fund. If you’d like to contribute, contact Digital Corridor Executive Director Jess O’Brien.
