The County also posted revisions to the plans for Ribaut Road in response to community feedback. The online portal is now open for the public to review and comment on the proposed design alternatives for the three sections of the Ribaut Road corridor in the City of Beaufort and Town of Port Royal through November 30. Comments may be submitted through the website or by mail to PO Drawer 1228, Beaufort, SC 29901-1228.

The U.S. Coast Guard has proposed permanent changes to the operation of the Woods Memorial Bridge that would allow the swing bridge to remain open to vehicle traffic during morning and afternoon drive times. The Coast Guard is asking for comments on this rule change in the Federal Register. The public is invited to comment online, click here.
